A Magyar Pszichológiai Társaság 2014-ben Ranschburg Emlékérmet adományozott László Jánosnak több évtizedes kiemelkedő szakmai és szakmai közéleti tevékenységéért.

A Ranschburg emlékérem olyan szakemberek munkásságát ismeri el, akik Ranschburg Pál munkásságának szellemében jelentősen hozzájárultak a magyar pszichológiai tudomány, gyakorlat vagy oktatás színvonalának növekedéséhez, emberi magatartásukkal példát mutatnak a pszichológusok fiatal generációjának.
